Travel restrictions are slowly lifting in Peru with seven regional and 10 international destinations approved for entry including the US, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil. As such, Aqua Expeditions is glad to announce the resumption of its Peruvian Amazon operations with the first departure of Aria Amazon scheduled for December 18th, 2020, just in time for the holiday season.
As we steer positively into 2021, we are delighted to reveal that Aqua Nera, our newest expedition vessel, will launch its much-anticipated inaugural voyage on April 3rd, 2021, to grace the mystical Amazon river with unparalleled contemporary luxury and bold design aesthetic. The 20-suite river ship, custom-designed by award-winning Noor Design, built in Vietnam, has sailed the full length of the Amazon river to her homeport of Iquitos, Peru after an epic 19,866 km journey across the world.
More than ever, health and safety remain our number one priority for guests and crew alike. We will require a pre-boarding health assessment on the day of embarkation, as well as a negative COVID-19 test result, issued no later than 72 hours prior to the embarkation of our ships.
